Farm Manager

Meridian Recruitment is seeking an experienced and motivated Farm Manager to take on a long-term leadership role with the opportunity to grow and develop alongside a progressive 6,500ha mixed enterprise located in the Riverina region, between Echuca and Deniliquin.

This third-generation, family-owned farm has a proud history and strong reputation for producing premium wool and prime lambs. The enterprise spans 6,500 hectares of mixed cropping and livestock, running 5,000 Merino and 1st cross prime lambs.

The Role

This leadership position has a strong focus on the sheep enterprise, while also overseeing all other areas of the operation. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading all livestock activities: lambing, marking, weaning, drenching, shearing and animal husbandry
• Developing and implementing flock health, nutrition and breeding programs
• Managing water infrastructure, fencing and pasture improvements
• Overseeing cropping operations with owners and contractors
• Maintaining budgets, records and compliance
• Supervising and supporting staff and contractors

About You

We’re seeking a highly capable and hands-on manager with:

• Proven senior-level experience in sheep enterprise management
• Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture or a related field (preferred)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent planning and prioritisation ability
• Sound knowledge of pasture management, livestock production and farm business operations
• Practical skills in fencing, water infrastructure and machinery operation
• A proactive and positive approach
