The farm Carinup starts 30km south of the township of Lake Grace and finishes approximately 15km south of Pingrup. Lake Grace has everything you need, such a primary school, high school, a hospital and swimming pool.

The Carinup aggregation is the newest farm to the Warakirri Cropping family, which consists of an impressive 16,000 arable ha. Your new Farm Manager is highly respected within the business and was internally promoted to set up this new operation. The farm is now in it's 3rd cropping year with Warakirri and is seeing the results. The manager created a culture that is based on teamwork, and not based on hierarchy. If you want to do something you haven’t done before the manager will be there to support you.

What does a Farm Operations Manager at Warakirri Cropping do?​​​​​​​

• The Farm Operations Manager has full insight into what is happening on the farm and you get to be involved in decision making processes.
• Foster a learning environment at Warakirri Cropping, where staff are encouraged to ask questions and learn new things, with a strong focus on staff development.
• You will be working on the day-to-day management of the farm and its performance. This includes a strong contribution towards operational management, employee and contractor management and leadership, and Workplace Health and Safety.
• Working closely with the farm manager, our independent agronomy team and the in-house precision ag team, you will have the chance to monitor and manage crops to reach their full potential.
• You will work on the development of the farm, its people as well as the company's culture in line with the company's values. You will also be operating machinery, which includes spraying, planting, spreading and harvest.
• Coordinate machinery activities in the paddock, including resupply, refueling, and logistics between properties.
• Work with the newest equipment and innovative technology at Warakirri Cropping, while observing and monitoring crop health and progress.
• Assist in the testing and recording of grain quality, as well as ensuring the safe storage and handling of grain during and after harvest.

• You bring broadacre cropping experience as a Leading Hand, Senior Operator, Assistant Farm Manager or Operations Manager
• You have a sound knowledge of growing dryland winter crops.
• You have experience in the operation of large-scale cropping plant and equipment.
• A willingness to learn, adopt new practices, and further develop personal skills while working in a team environment is what others pride you on.
• Your skill to mentor and coach others is one of your strengths, and you have demonstrated this previously.
• You have a high level of initiative and self-motivation.
• You have excellent communication skills and can work closely with consulting agronomists and contractors.
