Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview is a Catholic boys’ school in the Jesuit tradition. Located on picturesque grounds in Lane Cove, this leading independent school delivers a holistic education for day and boarding students from Years 5 to 12.

The College is seeking an engaging and collaborative teacher, to join our Agriculture program. Located on the shores of the Lane Cove River, is our newly refurbished, state of the art Agriculture Precinct, which includes a small farm, which is home to cattle, sheep, poultry and vegetables enterprises.  You will join a department that seeks to assist students to develop knowledge, understanding and skills that will enable them to contribute positively to both their own lifestyle and to the social, economic and environmental future of Australia.

The College is seeking to appoint an outstanding Agriculture teacher in a full-time ongoing position commencing 20 January 2026. 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The successful applicant needs to have the ability to teach the following course/s:

  • Stage 4/5 Agriculture Technology
  • Stage 6 Agriculture

The ability to teach the following course/s is highly desirable:

  • Stage 6 Primary Industries 

ABOUT YOU:

The successful applicant will:

  • hold the appropriate teaching qualifications and be eligible to teach in NSW
  • be an outstanding classroom teacher of Agriculture in Years 8 - 12
  • Experience in exhibition/showing of livestock and the willingness to become fully involved in the co-cocurricular programs offered by the Agriculture department (show teams) (desirable)
  • demonstrate collaborative practices and a commitment to working as part of a team
  •  demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and professional learning
  • demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to the Mission and Values of the College
  • be willing to contribute to the Co-curriculum Programs at the College
  • hold a current Working with Children Check and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety, welfare and well-being of children and young people
