The role
The Portfolio Partnership team is responsible for delivering carbon farming projects and related nature services across Climate Friendly’s Portfolio clients.
As Section Head - Portfolio Partnerships you will managing a small team of Project Managers / Coordinators responsible for providing best practice customer service, including providing the interface for all project management services, assessing opportunities to optimise existing projects and providing services of portfolio growth aligned with Portfolio Partner and Climate Friendly shared objectives.
Responsibilities of this role include:
- Building a strong, inclusive, diverse & engaged team that lives our values through recruitment, training, triaging work, and monitoring performance
- Maintaining positive and productive working relationships with Portfolio Partner clients, and a variety of other relevant stakeholders
- Developing and maintaining Land Management Strategies across portfolio partner projects
- Driving high quality customer engagement standards for best practice client and project implementation all Portfolio Partner clients
- Tailoring services to meet the objectives of our Portfolio Partners
- Assessing existing and new projects for opportunities under relevant carbon project methodologies
- Assisting clients prepare for transitioning their projects to IFLM where viable.
- Coordinating solutions for client problems through investigating issues, evaluating options, elevating internally where required, and communicating solutions.
- Gathering evidence of land management activities to support development of farm management plans and other specific documents to maintain current projects and register any prospective new carbon projects.
- Collating data for project registration, project audit and continued project management.
- Coordinating project registrations with support from other internal teams.
- Managing team level financial budgets
- Assisting our Business Development team as required to develop innovative offers and business models that meet the needs of diverse partners
- Gaining and maintaining Authorised Representative status under our AFSL, including meeting all ongoing requirements this involves
About you
- Qualifications and/or lived experience in fields related to Natural Resources/Environmental Science or Agriculture, customer engagement and securing service agreements.
- Experience managing, coaching and mentoring others within a small team
- Comfort with Microsoft suite, CRM systems. Basic skills in mapping systems like QGIS.
- An understanding of sustainable land management strategies and the Agricultural sector.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build effective relationships across multiple stakeholders.
- A strong interest in conservation, climate change and public good outcomes.
