About the role

Seeking a change of pace? Trade city life for the fresh country air with Pace Farm. We're searching for a dynamic individual to join us as our Farm Manager for our rearing farm in West Wyalong. You’ll oversee and mentor a dedicated team across various farm duties, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare and farming practices are maintained. As the Farm Manager, you will be responsible for rearing birds from day-old to 16 weeks as well as maintaining a structured routine across four sheds.

We are also seeking to hire an Assistant Farm Manager for another one of our farms in West Wyalong.

What you’ll do


  • Checking the health and well-being of the birds, ensuring adequate feed and water.

  • Overseeing the cleaning of sheds and performing necessary vaccinations.

  • Collaborating with your team, which includes a 2IC and a small group of dedicated staff.

  • Managing the manure side of operations and utilising equipment such as pressure washers.

  • Monitoring the packing facility as needed.

  • Ensuring a safe workplace.

About you

Are you a seasoned farm manager or team leader looking for your next step in poultry farming? While previous poultry experience is desired, it’s not essential; what we truly value is your proven ability to manage, supervise, and lead within farm management. We're looking for someone who is not only hands-on and mechanically minded but also possesses strong communication skills and a proactive mindset. Your ability to motivate a small team and adapt to changing situations will be crucial. What skills and attributes you require


  • Previous experience in poultry or animal welfare desirable

  • Forklift license or willingness to acquire it

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating teams

  • General maintenance skills highly regarded

  • Effective time management and organisational skills

  • Excellent communication skills
